Three street closures or lane restrictions start today in east and northeast Lincoln, with another North 27th Street lane restriction scheduled Wednesday. Adams Street from 63rd to 64th streets will have a westbound lane closure, Adams from 94th to 98th streets will close for pavement repairs, and North 56th Street from Adams to Cleveland streets will close for utility work.

Most of the Tuesday work is scheduled to reopen Wednesday or Thursday, weather permitting. If your route uses Adams, 56th, or North 27th near Vine, check the city closure map before leaving.

Vine Street project open house is tonight

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities has a pre-construction open house tonight for planned improvements to Vine Street between 66th and 70th streets. The project includes full pavement and curb replacement, a wider roadway, driveway approach reconstruction, and pedestrian ramp work.

The city says construction is expected in 2026 and will require a full street closure while maintaining emergency access. The open house runs from 5 to 7 PM at Bethany Park's enclosed shelter near 65th and Vine streets.
